Task of a Psychiatrist
The task of a Psychiatrist involves doing many tasks. Some of the core tasks of a psychiatrist are:

g) Focusing primarily on the mental health of the patients

h) Prescribing medications or treatments to treat emotional, mental or behavioral disorders.

i) Maintaining and gathering information and records of patients which includes social or medical history obtained from patients, relatives or other professionals

j) Designing individual care plans and implementing a variety of treatments.

k) Advising and informing guardians, relatives and significant others of patients conditions and requirements

l) Reviewing and evaluating treatment procedures and outcome of other psychiatrist and medical professionals.

m) Analyzing patient data and test examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder.

This is a must and requires one to give full attention to what other people are saying and taking time to understand the pints being made.
